My Crochet: WIP Scarf

Usually I used Wednesdays to show off an item that I’ve completed crocheting but I don’t have any photos ready yet so I’m going to join in on WIP Wednesday this week instead.

WIP Scarf

As you can see, I’ve got a bunch of motifs that will need to be joined together. The end result is going to be a really colorful skinny scarf in pink, green and yellow. This is way different than the stuff I normally make. I doing usually do a lot of joining or a lot of color changes but I wanted to work on something different from the other projects I had going. And the truth is that I do like making little motifs … I just doing like the joining process.

Scarf Inspiration

This scarf is inspired by the Pink Grapefruit Scarf by Twinkie Chan. The pattern is in her crochet book (Crochet Goodies for Fashion Foodies). I have variations in the color. And I haven’t decided if I’m going to add the yarn that creates the “slices”. But this was where I got the basic idea and motif pattern.

  1. Cute scarf. :)

  2. I love the colours in your scarf! I think it’ll look great when it’s assembled. :)

    • Thanks @Liz … I’m looking forward to getting that wrapped up in the next few days and then on to a different crochet project!

  3. Very nice color selections for your Twinkie Chan inspired scarf. I love her work – so yummy and calorie free.

    • Thanks @Sara … Twinkie has such a cool approach to crochet. I’m loving the things she’s done lately with crochet art pieces.
