31 Days of Crochet Giveways: Win a Pair of Wine Bottle Cozies

Welcome to the first giveaway in my 31 Days of Crochet Giveaways! The first prize I’m giving away is a set of handmade crochet wine cozies that I recently created.

About the Prize

This is a set of matching crochet wine cozies. I love making wine cozies because they’re a quick and easy way to dress up a bottle of wine and turn it into a real gift with the added bonus of a re-usable bag.

These two bags were crocheted using a lightweight yarn (I think it was a sock yarn). One strand is white with blue thread around it and the other is white with green thread around it and I crocheted the cozies holding both strands together. This creates a plush white fabric with blue and green threads.

There is a subtle striped design created by the pattern I used. Crocheting in the round, I worked a few rows of double crochet and then a few rows of crossed double crochet and repeated that to create the pattern. It’s topped off with a slight shell on top and closed with a drawstring made of blue and green Flutter yarn. The drawstring can also be easily removed and replaced with your own ribbon if you choose.

  1. My girlfriends and I try to get together once a month and these would be wonderful to have to dress up a wine I bring. It would be kinda neat if they got passed around from girl to girl as our gatherings change houses.

  2. My son will be moving into his new home just before Christman. I am giving him some Blueberry Wine from a local winnery. Along with some mulling these would be perfect.
