Courtney A.Z.McIntosh and Pablo Cabahug may not have a lot in common. She got her A.S. in Fashion Design from The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale; he graduated from London’s prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design. She’s now in the Bahamas; he’s originally from the Philippines. She uses “vibrant colors and novelty fabrics”; he’s gotten attention for “seamless melding of gray duchesse satin and metallic trimmings with jusi on clean, slim silhouettes”. She does swimwear; he does formal waer. But these two fashion design graduates do have at least one thing in common – they’re both incorporating crochet into their work.

Courtney A.Z.McIntosh has a line called Zatthu Inc. She recently added a collection to this line called LUXE. This is a swimwear and resort wear collection designed to provide a feeling of luxury for the women who are her customers. Hand crochet details are added to some of the items in the collection to give that personal luxurious touch.

Pablo Cabahug feels like he learned a lot from fashion design school. In fact, he cites the experience at this school as the inspiration for the crochet details in his latest creations. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any photos of either designer’s crochet work yet. Anyone who has links should send ‘em my way!
