Crochet rug by Patricia Urquiola and Eliana Gerotto
Hi and happy June everyone! Although you are reading this on June 1st, I actually wrote it last week in preparation for the fact that I’m traveling today. I love San Francisco but my family is in other places and I haven’t seen them in awhile so I wanted to visit them. I’ll be gone from San Francisco for the first half of June – first visiting my immediate family in Tucson and then taking a trip to see extended family in Ohio and making a quick visit to Niagara Falls with my kid sister. It should be fun.
In many ways, this blog will be the same while I’m away. If you are a regular reader then you probably know that I have a pretty regular posting schedule (crochet artist profiles on Mondays, crochet book reviews on Tuesdays, etc. and I’ve pre-written the posts for those while I’m away.) I’ve also gathered the material for the daily crochet quotes and daily Etsy crochet picks so those will be the same as always while I’m away (although there are actually going to be some changes to those features on the blog when I return).
What will be different while I am away is the other posts that usually go live throughout the day. Normally I include 1-2 news posts each day about the latest stuff I’m reading in crochet news. However, I’m not sure how much computer time I’ll have so for the first half of June I’m doing something different. I’m featuring more Top 10’s, How To’s and articles that are just about me and what I like about crochet. I hope that you enjoy them. In fact, over the course of the next two weeks I would love to receive your comments on those posts so I can get a sense of whether you would rather see more of those or more of the old style of news posts in the future.
Speaking of comments, I will try to sign on to the blog often enough to get comments moderated and live and responded to. Don’t worry – even if I’m not on top of it I’ll be reading everything when I get back for sure!
On Saturdays I usually do link love posts for the crochet links that I’ve adored throughout the week. I’m not going to try to stay on top of that while I’m away. However if you pop by on Fridays this month you’ll see that I’ve got links and information to my favorite crochet blogs for you to check out.
And I’m hoping to have some fun crochet experiences during the trip so if I get a chance to get online and share some of those with you then I will. And when I return I’ll be launching a new regular feature – yarn reviews!
Hope you enjoy my blog while I’m away!
