My Crochet: Crochet Flower Bouquets

On Wednesdays I try to show off some of the things that I’m crocheting. This week I want to share these crochet flower bouquets that I’m adoring making. If you got to know me better then you would quickly learn that I have quite a brown thumb. I can rarely keep plants alive and yet I love decorating my home with them. I’m enjoying the compromise of putting flower pots filled with crochet bouquets all around my home. :) No particular pattern, just something I’m playing with.

  1. Super cute! Are those enormous flower pots or close up shots?

  2. Cool! Is this like the hyperbolic crochet pieces?

  3. I really like these! I would never have thought to do this, very cool!

    • @Sam and @Ann – thanks! They aren’t like the hyberbolic crochet although I’m definitely interested in exploring more math-based crochet and maybe doing something similar with it once I learn more!

  4. I’ve never run into someone else who also uses the term “brown thumb!” I have one too! My brother got the green one in the family. Glad to see I’m not alone! ;)

i NEEEEEED to know how to make these! Too cute!

    • @CharityCzechorski Thanks! It’s actually just the basic hyperbolic crochet … A circle and then two or three crochet stitches in each stitch increasing each round to create the ruffle. Then I tie the bottom to create a bouquet shape and put ‘em in a vase.
