Pucci Crochet Dress Makes Bollywood Sexy

There is a crochet dress by Pucci that seems to be the hottest thing since sliced bread. It keeps popping up all over the place in every discussion about spring and summer fashion. In fact, it was worn by LeAnn Rimes at her wedding reception creating a lot of controversy between those who loved and those who hated it.

And yes, it’s now turned up again. It is gracing the May cover of Harper’s Bazaar India where it is worn by Malaika Arora Khan, one of the hottest women in Bollywood. Head to the inside of the magazine and you will find that the dress is part of an “all white” feature article, the hottest color right now and one that suits crochet perfectly.

Are you in love with this designer crochet dress or do you think it’s not worth the hype?

  1. I love the detail, but I’m not a fan of the dress. The main reason is because it doesn’t seem realistic to me. How often would you really wear something like this? I like to make something that I, or others, can show off as often as possible. This just seems like a lot of work for something you’d wear once or twice. (just my opinion)

    • I can definitely see your point Kristine. I do think that there are people who would wear it more than once … I don’t think it’s a totally unapproachable design especially if it’s dressed down with some sandals and no jewelry. But I also think that most designer clothing isn’t really designed to be worn more than once by the people who wear it – something I don’t really understand but accept as part of the fashion world.
