This “collar” looks like a blob. It’s understandable that this person doesn’t sell his work. Where is the aesthetic value of this? The proportion does not relate to the gown it is shown on. The shape and composition are interesting, while the color is common.
The piece, while most likely a mastery of crochet technique, is a great exercise in creating volume rather than a collar.
